 A real bomber...but still cute. August 28, 2010

When I saw this curtain in a magazine/book, I had to have it. Being raised in the 70's I couldn't resist the Yellow Submarine. In 'real life' however, the color is a little muted compared to the vibrant shade in the picture. Most notably disappointing is that the plastic material is awfully thin compared to most vinyl shower curtains. It's almost as flimsy as a paint 'drop-cloth' and when you attempt to take a shower, the draft created by the water jetting down causes the curtain to billow in towards you. The effect was like trying to shower in a tiny tunnel. Also, keep in mind the illustration and that you will only be able to see portions of it if you have a shorter shower stall like I do, thus lessening the kitsch impact. This is a bit of a drawback...but if you have a longer, standard shower, the design will be fully visible like in the picture I would imagine. I'm still excited to own this curtain though, even if I eventually have to pair this with a more substantial, plain vinyl curtain to help keep the submarine in place.

The curtain was brighter than we thought it was going to be, but it looks great. We get compliments all the time!
